Congratulations on making your dream a reality. Running across the country is something I've thought about since my early days as a marathoner, reading about Don Shepherd and Bruce Tulloh. And, unassisted (by a vehicle) is how I've dreamed of doing it.
Now I'm 51, and have long ago written off the dream as impractical. I never ran under 2:20 in the marathon (did a 2:21), never ran a 100 mile (won the '78 national 50-mile). I don't have any real regrets about running, but running across the U.S. is something I wish I'd done. Maybe someday ...
